Hey,

Next week in NYC is actually stacked.

You've got one of the city's biggest food festivals, a massive free dance parade, design week events all over the city, SoHo pop-ups, and a Sunday bazaar if you want something more chill.

Here are the best things happening in NYC this week.

1. 9th Avenue International Food Festival β€” May 16–17 9th Ave, 42nd–57th St, 10 AM–6 PM

One of the best food events of the week. 9th Ave turns into a massive street food festival with global vendors, local restaurants, live entertainment, and arts and crafts. Free to walk through and one of the oldest food festivals in the city.

2. Dance Parade β€” May 16 17th St & 6th Ave down to Tompkins Square Park, Free

10,000 dancers, 100+ dance styles, live bands, DJs, and floats marching through the city. After the parade wraps it moves into Tompkins Square Park for free performances and dance lessons across multiple stages. One of the most fun free things NYC does all year.

3. NYCxDesign / New York Design Week β€” May 14–20 Citywide

NYC Design Week kicks off this week with 250+ events across galleries, showrooms, open studios, and public spaces all over the city. A lot of it is free to check out. Good one if you want something to do that feels different from the usual.

4. PINK SoHo Grand Opening β€” May 14–17 500 Broadway, SoHo

PINK is opening a new SoHo location this week. Opening weekend usually means photo ops, freebies, and opening perks. Worth checking out if you're in the area.

5. Kat the Label New York Suite β€” May 14–17 21 Spring St, SoHo

Kat the Label is doing a pop-up this week with gift-with-purchase freebies throughout. Good one if you want a quick SoHo stop with something to take home.

6. Park Ave Artist Stroll β€” May 16 Park Ave, 34th–40th St, Free

A craft-only artist stroll on Park Ave near Midtown. Good casual walk-around option for a Saturday if you want something low-key.

7. Around the World Bazaar at Grand Bazaar NYC β€” May 17 100 W 77th St, Upper West Side, 10 AM–5 PM

Sunday market with global food vendors, handmade goods, vintage, art, and cultural products from all over. Free to enter and a solid Sunday plan if you want something chill.

8. Audible Story House β€” Wed–Sun, 11 AM–7 PM 260 Bowery, Free

Free indoor listening lounge and community space open all week. Good option if you want somewhere chill to hang indoors, no cost involved.

This week has enough to fill every day if you want it to.

If you want food, the 9th Avenue Food Festival is the move. If you want something free and high-energy, Dance Parade is the best thing happening all week. If you want to explore, Design Week has events all over the city.

Bookmark this and send it to someone who never knows what to do on weekends.

See you next week.
